A Frisco Crew, Built for a Boomtown

SHWIX Movers started in 2016 because Frisco was filling up faster than its moving industry could keep honest. Brett Holloway watched North Texas go from open farmland off US-380 to wall-to-wall master-planned construction, and watched transferees and trade-up families get burned by hourly quotes that quietly doubled on move day. Brett had run warehouse and freight logistics for years — he knew exactly how long a job should take and what it should cost — so he put his own trucks on the road, hired crews he’d vouch for, and built the whole company around one promise: a flat number you can plan against.

We Run the Trucks — All of Them

This matters, so we’ll be plain about it: SHWIX is not a broker and not a lead service. We don’t hand your move to whoever answers the phone that day. Our trucks have our name on them, our movers wear our shirts, and the same crew loads in Prosper and unloads in Austin. We’re registered with the Texas TxDMV for household goods in-state and carry USDOT/MC authority for interstate, plus our own cargo and liability insurance with coverage up to $1,000,000 per shipment.

The People on Your Move

Brett still sets the tone, but the day-to-day runs on a tight team. Shelby Mathis handles scheduling, billing, and the certificates of insurance that gated communities and Legacy-corridor high-rises require. Wade Pruitt runs the daily truck board and keeps crews ahead of the weather. On the trucks you’ll get one of three crew chiefs: Diego Marin leads our specialty and piano work, Jared Koss runs the long-haul interstate jobs, and Tyrell Banks handles high-rises and the long staircases in those big two-story brick homes. Behind them are 14 trained movers — 19 of us total.

Why North Texas Trusts SHWIX

  • Founded and based in Frisco — we know Collin County subdivisions, HOAs, and tollway traffic cold
  • Flat-rate option that locks before we load, plus straightforward hourly for smaller jobs
  • Texas TxDMV registered, USDOT/MC authorized, fully insured under our own policies
  • Crews that load at dawn to beat the heat and plan around hail and ice season
  • Trained for slab homes, three-car garages, pianos, safes, and new-construction move-ins

We didn’t build SHWIX to be the biggest van line in DFW. We built it to be the crew you’d recommend to the next neighbor closing on a house. Call our office and we’ll show you what a flat-rate move feels like.

“I wanted to give a boomtown an honest flat-rate crew instead of an hourly clock that keeps ticking”

Grew up in the DFW metroplex. Brett stays hands-on with every job, so the number you are quoted holds and the crew showing up at your door is one SHWIX hired, trained, and put in uniform from day one.

02 Why us

The name on the truck and the name on your contract are one and the same

Book SHWIX and the truck pulling up to your slab-built two-story is ours, the contract is ours, and the uniformed crew carrying your sectional down the stairs is on our North Texas payroll — your job never gets sold off. A broker works the other direction: they auction your move to whoever bids lowest that week, then drop out of the picture entirely.

SHWIX Movers
  • We own the trucks, and the full-time, background-checked movers riding in them work for us — we never fill out a crew with day labor pulled off a listing board
  • The number we write down is the number you pay — locked, signed, and accurate to the dollar before anyone lifts a box
  • The same crew the whole way through, from the first item out of the old house to the last one set in the new one
  • Texas (TxDMV) household-goods registration, USDOT/MC authority for interstate runs, and every job backed by full insurance with up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage
  • One Frisco office and one point of contact, from the first call to the last box carried inside
What a broker does
  • Farms your move out to whichever outfit happens to bid lowest that particular week
  • Lets the price climb on move day, loaded up with fees that nobody mentioned at the start
  • Sends total strangers you have never spoken to into your home, your whole household trusted to people you cannot vouch for
  • Stays fuzzy about whose policy actually pays out when a flat screen ends up on the floor
  • Parks a call center between you and whoever eventually shows up to load, turning a simple question into a runaround

There is a reason Frisco and the rest of the DFW metroplex keep booking SHWIX Movers.
