Where North Texas families size up a mover first

01 Overview

Celina is the front line of North Texas growth — a far-north exurb that’s exploding with brand-new master-planned construction, Light Farms leading the way and more breaking ground every season. SHWIX Movers works Celina the way you have to work a boomtown: built for new construction, shifting closing dates, big new lots, and streets that aren’t always on the map yet. This is the youngest housing stock in our service area, and we plan for that, not against it.

Lining up a move in this stretch of North Texas? DFW metroplex movers works these master-planned subdivisions, gated communities, and Tollway-corridor towers most weeks.

Light Farms and master-planned new construction

Most Celina moves are move-ins to homes that were dirt a year ago. Light Farms and the master-planned sections around it are some of the fastest-building ground in the metroplex, which means closing dates slide, streets are sometimes still being paved, and the GPS doesn’t always know your address. We hold your date with room to flex, confirm the route the night before move day, and time the truck to your builder’s final walkthrough so we’re never unloading into an unfinished house. New finishes get full floor and stair protection going in.

What our Celina crew handles

  • Builder-coordinated move-ins for Light Farms and new master-planned sections
  • Night-before route confirmation for streets still under construction
  • No far-north surcharge — same flat quote as the rest of Collin County
  • Big-lot and long-driveway access planning, with shuttle staging when needed
  • Dawn loads in the long North Texas summer, radar-watching through spring storms

Big lots and long drives

Celina’s newer lots run large, with long driveways and, out toward the edges, gravel approaches and active construction next door. We ask about your drive when you book and bring the right truck, staging near the street and shuttling in when a fresh or soft drive won’t safely hold a loaded rig.

One flat price, even way up north

Distance from Frisco doesn’t change our rate — Celina is home turf. Two movers and a truck run $175 an hour, three run $239, and we quote your move flat with a $140 deposit that comes off the final bill. SHWIX is a licensed Texas (TxDMV) and USDOT/MC mover running our own trucks and uniformed crews, the same team both ends. Get my free moving quote for Celina.

We move Celina

Our crews work Celina week in and week out, so the gate codes, the HOA move-in windows, the new-build subdivisions, and the high-rise elevator reservations are second nature long before the truck pulls up. Our quote is one flat rate, written out in full — you will not find surprise charges hiding in the fine print.

02 Why us

The name on the truck and the name on your contract are one and the same

Book SHWIX and the truck pulling up to your slab-built two-story is ours, the contract is ours, and the uniformed crew carrying your sectional down the stairs is on our North Texas payroll — your job never gets sold off. A broker works the other direction: they auction your move to whoever bids lowest that week, then drop out of the picture entirely.

SHWIX Movers
  • We own the trucks, and the full-time, background-checked movers riding in them work for us — we never fill out a crew with day labor pulled off a listing board
  • The number we write down is the number you pay — locked, signed, and accurate to the dollar before anyone lifts a box
  • The same crew the whole way through, from the first item out of the old house to the last one set in the new one
  • Texas (TxDMV) household-goods registration, USDOT/MC authority for interstate runs, and every job backed by full insurance with up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage
  • One Frisco office and one point of contact, from the first call to the last box carried inside
What a broker does
  • Farms your move out to whichever outfit happens to bid lowest that particular week
  • Lets the price climb on move day, loaded up with fees that nobody mentioned at the start
  • Sends total strangers you have never spoken to into your home, your whole household trusted to people you cannot vouch for
  • Stays fuzzy about whose policy actually pays out when a flat screen ends up on the floor
  • Parks a call center between you and whoever eventually shows up to load, turning a simple question into a runaround

What Celina movers ask us

We're moving into a new home in Light Farms. Can you coordinate with construction?
Yes, and Celina needs it more than most. Light Farms and the surrounding master-planned sections are some of the fastest-building ground in North Texas, so closing dates move and streets are sometimes still under construction. We hold your date flexibly, confirm the route the night before, and time the truck to your final walkthrough so we're not unloading into a half-finished home.
Celina is pretty far north. Is there an extra charge for the distance from Frisco?
No far-north surcharge. Celina is part of our home turf, so a move within Celina or down to Frisco and the rest of Collin County is quoted the same flat way as anywhere else. You hear one number up front, with a $140 deposit holding the date and credited to your final bill.
Our new lot is big with a long driveway. Any access issues?
We plan for it. The newer Celina lots are larger, with long driveways and, on the edges, gravel approaches and active construction nearby. We ask about the drive when you book and bring the right truck, staging closer to the street and shuttling in if a fresh or soft drive won't take a fully loaded rig.
