The muscle when you’ve got the truck
Plenty of North Texas moves are do-it-yourself on the driving but not on the lifting. You rented the pod, booked the trailer, or grabbed a self-move truck — what you actually need is a real crew to load it tight or unload it without wrecking your back or your boxes. SHWIX Movers does labor-only loading and unloading with our own uniformed movers. We’re a licensed Texas mover, so these are the same hands that pack our own trucks, not day labor we found this morning.
From Plano to Prosper, SHWIX Movers writes the whole move as one fixed number — what the estimate says is what you pay on move day.
Loading that survives the highway
Anybody can stack a pod. Loading one so it arrives intact after a long haul out of DFW is a different skill. We load for balance and density — heavy on the bottom and forward, fragile braced, every gap filled so nothing shifts on a 700- or 1,400-mile run. A loosely packed container is how furniture gets crushed somewhere past the state line. We pack yours like it’s ours.
Unload and place, not dump and leave
On the receiving end, we don’t just empty the truck into your entry. Furniture goes to the right room, boxes land by their labels, and the heavy two-story pieces get carried up instead of stacked in the garage for you to wrestle later. Frisco’s slab-built homes with no basement mean everything routes through the garage and entry, and we sequence the unload so it flows.
Built for the houses and the heat here
Two-story brick homes, three-car garages, stairs with a turn at the top — our crews do these every day, so your labor job isn’t a learning experience. And in summer we start at dawn. Loading a metal container in the afternoon sun in July is rough on people and hard on your stuff, so the heavy lifting beats the heat.
Straight hourly, no games
- Labor runs $175 an hour for two movers or $239 an hour for a three-mover crew.
- The usual one-hour minimum is waived — you pay for the time the job actually takes.
- A $140 deposit holds your crew for the date and credits to the final bill.
- Note that labor-only handling of your own container falls under released-value terms; ask us how coverage works on a self-move and we’ll lay it out straight.

How the price gets set
We start with a short walkthrough or video survey, and from your actual inventory we set one flat North Texas rate — no hourly clock buried anywhere inside it. Whatever that quote says is the whole price, with nothing added once the truck is loaded or a storm rolls in off the plains.
