01 Overview

High-rise and apartment moves built for the corporate corridor

The Legacy and Dallas North Tollway corridor pulled in Toyota, PGA of America, Liberty Mutual and a wave of corporate offices — and with them, a wall of luxury towers and townhome complexes housing the people who work there. Those buildings move differently than a single-family home. SHWIX Movers, a licensed Texas (TxDMV) mover running our own trucks and crews, handles the paperwork, the freight elevators, and the strict move-in rules so a corridor move doesn’t cost you your deposit.

From Plano to Prosper, DFW metroplex movers writes the whole move as one fixed number — what the estimate says is what you pay on move day.

COIs that don’t slow you down

Most managed buildings along Legacy West and the Tollway won’t let a truck near the dock without a certificate of insurance naming the property and its management company. Our office manager, Shelby Mathis, issues these all day. Send us the building’s requirements and we’ll get a compliant COI to the property manager fast — usually same day — so your freight reservation holds.

Freight elevators and tight windows

Towers give you a reserved freight-elevator slot, often just a couple of hours, and they mean it. We confirm the reservation with management before move day, pad the elevator and lobby, and bring a crew sized to clear your unit inside the window. Tyrell Banks leads our high-rise and stair work, so walk-ups and units above the reservation floor get a crew that knows how to keep a stairwell moving.

We run the trucks — every time

This matters in a building that’s tracking who comes through the dock: the people on the certificate are our people. We are not a broker or a matching service routing your job to a stranger. Same SHWIX crew both ends, on our own truck.

Pricing that fits a smaller footprint

  • Studios and one-bedrooms move on a compact flat-rate that opens at $449.
  • Going hourly, two movers and a truck are $175/hr, three are $239/hr, no padded one-hour minimum.
  • A $140 deposit reserves your date and the building slot and credits back to the final bill.
  • Released value runs $0.60/lb, full-value coverage is optional, and cargo protection reaches $1,000,000 per shipment.

What’s included

  • Certificates of insurance issued fast for Legacy/Tollway towers and HOA-managed complexes — Shelby handles the paperwork
  • Freight-elevator and loading-dock scheduling with building management before move day
  • Tyrell Banks's stair-and-high-rise crew for walk-ups and units above the freight reservation
  • Compact-rate options for studios and one-bedrooms near Legacy West, flat-rate from $449
  • Floor and elevator-pad protection so you don't lose a deposit over a scuffed lobby
  • Tight reservation-window loading so you're done inside the building's freight time slot

How the price gets set

We start with a short walkthrough or video survey, and from your actual inventory we set one flat North Texas rate — no hourly clock buried anywhere inside it. Whatever that quote says is the whole price, with nothing added once the truck is loaded or a storm rolls in off the plains.

02 How we protect your move

We treat what you own the way we would want ours treated

Every truck rolls loaded with pads, shrink film, and floor runners — ready to blanket furniture, keep wood floors and tile clean on a wet day, and cushion the breakables, whether the job is a brand-new two-story in Phillips Creek Ranch, a custom home on acreage out in Prosper, or a Legacy West high-rise that needs a reserved freight elevator.

Quilted pads

Dressers, tables, and headboards get blanketed where they stand, and the padding is on long before anything starts moving toward the door.

Stretch film

Drawers stay shut and cushions stay clean — wrapped tight so dust off the garage and the trip across an open driveway never reaches the fabric.

Floor & doorway guards

Runners down, banisters wrapped, door jambs padded — the first thing we do at both homes, so the trim, the rails, and the new-build flooring look untouched after we pull out.

Built-to-fit crating

Mirrors, glass tabletops, framed art, and big flat screens each get a crate built right there in the room, cut corner to corner for a snug, exact fit.

Break-down & rebuild

Bed frames, dining tables, and sectionals come apart to ride safe, and once they clear the door at the new place our crew puts every one back together.

Straps, dollies & gear

A high-rise freight elevator, a tight new-build staircase, or the single heaviest thing in the house — each one pulls the right tie-downs and rigging off our truck, and none of it ever gets left behind.

03 Why us

The name on the truck and the name on your contract are one and the same

Book SHWIX and the truck pulling up to your slab-built two-story is ours, the contract is ours, and the uniformed crew carrying your sectional down the stairs is on our North Texas payroll — your job never gets sold off. A broker works the other direction: they auction your move to whoever bids lowest that week, then drop out of the picture entirely.

SHWIX Movers
  • We own the trucks, and the full-time, background-checked movers riding in them work for us — we never fill out a crew with day labor pulled off a listing board
  • The number we write down is the number you pay — locked, signed, and accurate to the dollar before anyone lifts a box
  • The same crew the whole way through, from the first item out of the old house to the last one set in the new one
  • Texas (TxDMV) household-goods registration, USDOT/MC authority for interstate runs, and every job backed by full insurance with up to $1,000,000 in cargo coverage
  • One Frisco office and one point of contact, from the first call to the last box carried inside
What a broker does
  • Farms your move out to whichever outfit happens to bid lowest that particular week
  • Lets the price climb on move day, loaded up with fees that nobody mentioned at the start
  • Sends total strangers you have never spoken to into your home, your whole household trusted to people you cannot vouch for
  • Stays fuzzy about whose policy actually pays out when a flat screen ends up on the floor
  • Parks a call center between you and whoever eventually shows up to load, turning a simple question into a runaround

Questions we hear about this service

My building near Legacy West requires a certificate of insurance before move day. How fast can you turn one around?
Same day in most cases. Our office manager, Shelby, has issued COIs for most of the towers and managed complexes along the Legacy and Tollway corridor. Send us the building's exact insurance requirements and the property manager's contact, and we'll get a compliant certificate to them so your freight reservation isn't held up.
The complex only gives a two-hour freight-elevator window. Can you actually finish in it?
Yes — that's why we size the crew to the reservation. We confirm your freight-elevator or loading-dock slot with management ahead of time, stage everything by the elevator before the clock starts, and bring enough movers to clear the unit inside the window so you're not paying the building for an overrun.
I'm moving from a corporate-corridor apartment into a high-rise that's stricter about move-in rules. Anything I should know?
Newer towers usually require a COI naming the building and the HOA or management company, a reserved freight elevator, and elevator and lobby floor protection — all of which we handle as a matter of course. Tell us the building and we'll line up the certificate, the reservation, and the pads so move-in is clean and your deposit stays yours.
